Reflection:
I choose to reflect on this particular song because it really striked me. It made me realise that there is so much destruction happening that the environment is being destroyed by mankind as I blog. The destrution shown in the "Earth Song" is severe and widespread. All this is because we did not put in enough effort into saving the earth and find saving the earth to be a waste of time. However, the impact that this song has would really make you feel like mending your ways. It shows us that we need to save the earth before it is too late.

This song is very persuasive as the lyrics in this song has many rhetorical questions that make us think about the environment. When rhetorical questions are asked, we reflect upon the words and find it has deeper meaning. It also has many emotive words. The use of emotive language in this song is very obvious. Emotive words makes us feel the song better and be able to hear it in our hearts. The song also uses repetition to make us remember its theme/motive. The songs keeps repeating the words "What about us". The songs wants us to know there are many people leading innocent lives out there but are suffering tremendously due to movements that destroy the environment. It also makes me realise how feel for the people who are suffering, instead of neglecting them which I usually do.

This song is very persuasive because the music video showed pictures that were very disturbing in a sense. It depicts scenes that are very strange and unusual to me because I have never seen them before. The pictures shows how drastically men can affect his environment and had a huge impact on me.

Lastly I would like to to make known that many people out there need our help and so does the environment. So let us all do our part and lend a helping hand in saving the environment.
